In 2004, 43 percent of motorcycle deaths occurred between 3 pm and 9 pm. Another 29 percent occurred at night (9 pm-6 am).

Pedestrian deaths by time of day
Pedestrians are the second largest category of motor vehicle deaths, after occupants accounting for about 11 percent of fatalities. The rates are higher for older people.
Fatal crashes are primarily nighttime events. In 2004, 46% of fatal pedestrian motor vehicle collisions occurred between 6 pm and midnight.
